Punch. Kick. Knockout. Win.
A simple four-step strategy that Stacy Jones would equip when going to battle in that ring.
Her match against Eira was a wake-up call and an epiphany. The future of Stacy Jones was not darkness or moody behaviours. No, it was fighting and fighting to win at that. She had been so wrapped up in being Stacy Jones, the dark angel millionaire with the peroxide blonde hair, the corsets and the evil mentality to realise that she wasn’t that girl any more.
When Stacy met Eira, she realised that Eira was the girl Stacy used to be. Dark, confident and mysterious. A little goth, a little punk and a lot of attitude. It was seeing her that Stacy knew she needed a change. The First Blood Match was just the perfect opportunity for those changes to surface.
Stacy had always been a fan of MMA and had dabbled in the area during her collegiate years but had focused on wrestling since that was where her opportunities were at the time. Now though, she was an established talent with a string of championship victories in her career and so why not try incorporating that old MMA style into PCW?
When she heard of the First Blood Match, she went to a Greenville gym where locals learned to fight in the MMA style. A few classes of refreshing herself and Stacy knew this was what she needed to do to fight Eira.
Alas, it was not meant to be.
Trauma came along and Stacy fought her hardest in the ring against Eira only to lose due to Eira concealing a blade in her teeth. That seemed fair. Now, of course there were ‘no rules’ and ‘no holds barred’ in a match such as this but it hardly seemed sportsmanlike.
Maybe Stacy was the only person in PCW who felt that winning only really counted if you fight fairly, honestly and with integrity. Eira won the match fair and square based on those rules but it was cowardly for her to rely on a weapon. I guess she wasn’t good enough to win in a wrestling contest.
The past is the past however and this week Stacy would face a new challenge. Eden. Now, she didn’t know a whole lot about Eden but she had seen her compete. The girl was a spry young thing without an ounce of remorse or self-preservation. Jones liked this. Eden was Stacy Jones in her teens and this only made Stacy more confident. She knew what to expect, she knew how to fight it and she knew how to win.
Age isn’t always an advantage but mix it with experience and you have a deadly combo. Stacy Jones would be going to the ring to fight and to win.
