This scene opens up in a wide, open field, rain lightly pouring and splattering around on the ground. As the scenery pans around the field, it focuses on a huge boulder sitting on the bottom of a hill, with a figure standing beneath the boulder, miniscule compared to the size of the boulder. The figure is muddy, scratched up and bloodied. A weak sigh escapes from the lips as he presses his hands on the boulder and grunts with all of his might, slowly moving the boulder up the hill. The figures face turns bright red, sweating and straining with the effort of pushing the boulder.
As the figure gets it closer and closer to the top of the hill, the rain causes the ground to be slick and muddied underneath his worn feet. As the boulder gets closer and closer to the top, the figure loses his balance and falls backwards, rolling down the hill and the boulder quickly behind him. When he hits the bottom of the hill, he quickly rolls out of the way, the boulder barely missing crushing him.
The figures face twists to a hint of frustration as he stands up, catching his breath. Blood trickles down the forehead of the individual. After a few moments, an exhausted gasp escapes his lips as he reaches up and starts to push the boulder again. He struggles and strains under the sheer weight, but he manages to start pushing the boulder up the hill again. Slowly and surely, the boulder goes up the hill, the figuring grunting each roll. As he gets almost to the top again, his feet start to slip in the mud and muck. He gasps and growls furiously, feverishly trying to keep the boulder in place, but to no avail. He stumbles and rolls down the hill, his head hitting a rock along the way. As he tries to regain his composure, the boulder quickly rolls down the hill and before he has time to respond, rolls over him and crushes him.
No sound comes out of his mouth. Silence is all that is heard.
Then the darkness takes over.
A gasp is heard as Tyrone “Crazy Boy” Smith is awakened from that weird dream. Sunlight streams through the window as he sits straight up, sweat pouring down his forehead. He rubs his eyes gently, his breathing slowly calms down as he looks around, trying to regain his composure. He sighs and sets his feet to the floor and slowly walks to the mirror that is hanging above his dresser. He stares at himself in the mirror, his long blonde hair matted around his face. The bags under his eyes are apparent as he sighs, walking toward the bedroom door.
When he walks out, the smell of food hits his nostrils as he shuffles down the hallway, solemnly reaching the living room. The dream still flickers around in his head and he glances in the kitchen, watching his wife cook breakfast. He sighs and walks up to her, giving her a kiss on the cheek. She smiles and quickly turns her head to him.
“Morning, Ty. Sleep well?”
Crazy Boy chuckles softly, shaking his head slowly.
“Not really. I had another one of those dreams. This one was kind of a weird one. I kept trying to push a boulder up a hill, only for it to keep rolling down before I reach the top. Eventually I get crushed by the boulder. It was kind of weird.
Cassie turns back to the cooking as she shrugs her shoulder.
“It was just a dream. I wouldn’t worry about it too much. You have these dreams a lot, and you always think they mean something. They really don’t. They are just dreams.”
Tyrone’s face becomes thoughtful, his brow furrowing, as he shakes his head.
“No, I really think this one means something. I really think this dream was really trying to send me a message.”
“And what, pray tell, would this dream mean? What could it POSSIBLY be telling you?”
The thoughtful look on Tyrone’s face doesn’t leave, as he closes his eyes. He struggles to find the answer to Cassie’s question, until he opens his eyes and he snaps his fingers
“I got it! It’s my career! The dream was about my PCW Career! I just know it is!
Cassie shakes her head, but doesn’t deter from her cooking. A heavy sigh can be heard escape from her lips as she grabs a couple of plates to put the cooked food on.
“Your career? What about your career? It’s not going the best as there is, but I’ve noticed you finally are trying to make a name for yourself here recently.”
Tyrone nods his head, reaching into the fridge to grab the milk out, pouring himself a glass. The thoughtful look never leaves his face as he takes a couple of sips.
“That’s just it. It all makes sense now. Every time I take a few steps forward in PCW, the rolling up the hill, I take more steps backwards, the boulder falling back down the hill. And if I don’t watch it, I will be completely left behind or me getting crushed by the boulder.”
Cassie takes some bacon and puts it on the plate as she focuses on eggs that are being cooked. That doesn’t deter her from sighing heavily, shaking her spatula at Tyrone with one hand, while flipping eggs with her other.
“That actually makes a little sense, but again, it’s just a dream, Ty. You put up a good showing at the Pay Per View, and although you didn’t win that match---“
The Crazy One cuts Cassie off right there.
“But I didn’t lose that match! I wasn’t pinned. Stacy Jones did NOT PIN ME! She pinned Eden. I was not pinned, submitted or anything.”
Cassie takes the eggs and puts them on another plate as she turns to Crazy Boy, almost glaring at him with “the look”.
“Before you rudely cut me off, I was going to say, you had a good showing at that match and then you did that stunt at the Icey Awards. You are really starting to get under the skin of Stacy Jones. I’m not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing.”
Tyrone growls when he hears the name Stacy Jones.
“Stacy is a coward. I challenged her to a match because she didn’t beat me at Living a Legacy. Her not accepting my challenge is just proving my point that she can’t beat me one-on-one. She knows that she couldn’t beat me when the deck is split. She can’t become the Queen of the Underground if she can’t get through me. So I had to knock some sense into her. Kind of force her to accepting that match. The time will come. She will face me when she has no other alternative.”
Tyrone grins from ear to ear as he continues to speak.
“And until Stacy accepts my match, I am going to have to make an example of everyone that PCW throws at me, starting with Sapphire. She doesn’t know what it’s like to deal with a truly desperate man; a man that is trying anything to get his recognition back. Back to where he was a force to be reckoned with. A man who is a former 2 time PCW North American Champion. These newcomers don’t know what I am capable of. I have been ran over for the last time.”
Cassie brings the plates into the dining room, connected to the kitchen and places them on the table. She motions for Crazy Boy to take a seat as she sits down at the table, getting her plate set up.
“You have definitely changed here the past few weeks, Ty. You used to not even be able to strike a female, even for your job, and now here you are sitting here completely decimating Sapphire and staring some stuff with Stacy Jones. What flicked your switch?”
Tyrone takes a plate and grabs some food and sits down next to his wife, thoughtfully chewing on a piece of bacon.
“I just realized it’s my job, and I have to do what I have to do to get my job done. There are a flux of females coming into PCW and pretty soon there could be an even amount on the roster as males. I can’t just sit back and let them walk over me anymore. The time has come for me to reclaim my place in PCW. I don’t care who is in my way anymore, be it male or female. I will NOT be walked over anymore.
And after I take care of Sapphire at Trauma… I will continue to haunt Stacy. She will not escape me. I will have my match against her, whether she wants to or not.
Cassie just nods her head, not really paying attention to the Crazy One, focusing on the food on her plate. Tyrone shrugs and digs into his breakfast, letting this show fade to black.
Static and fade.
End.
