“There is a reason why I kept on Stacy Jones’s ass, Carlos. She didn’t beat me at Living a Legacy, and I don’t think she could beat me with the chips are done. There is no doubt in my mind I COULD beat Stacy. No doubt in my mind.”
The scene is opened up in a gym of some sorts. Two individuals are sitting in an office of some sorts at the back of the gym. In the front of the desk there sits PCW Superstar Tyrone “Crazy Boy” Smith. On the other side of the desk, sitting in a chair, is Tyrone’s older brother, Carlos. Carlos currently has some papers scattered across his desk, writing feverishly on one of them. As he writes he speaks slowly, yet sternly, to his brother.
“I’ve no doubt in my mind that you can beat Stacy. But are you OUT of your mind?! I mean, look at you. You lost to Sapphire! True, Stacy interfered with the match and it cost you, but honestly, if you can’t keep your focus long enough to get the job done and win, do you honestly think that you will be able to focus enough to beat Stacy? She practically humiliated you on live TV last week! Do you honestly think that you are one hundred percent mentally ready to take on Stacy?! You are going to embarrass yourself more than you already have!
Carlos points at Crazy Boy’s accusingly, trying to get his brother to get the picture. You can see Tyrone wincing periodically, seemingly fighting through his brother’s words. He shakes his head softly as he starts to speak.
“You used to be a wrestler. You know how it is. You can let a little embarrassment or a little humiliation stop you. How often do you get to who you want to face, even if it is for a selfish reason? I can’t let a bruised ego and embarrassment stop me. I made that challenge for a reason, and I intend to go out there and beat her, not just put up a fight. I don’t care what toll it takes on my body, being Underground Rules, I am going to go out there and get the job done. I will not be taken a fool anymore.”
Carlos stops his writing and stares at his brother and taps his pen on the desk rhythmically. He sighs and shakes his head, almost letting out a growl.
“All you are going to do is shorten your career and your life. Think of Cassie and Shayla. How are you going to provide for your family if you continue down your path and you become a vegetable? It’s ridiculous what you do just to prove a point, Ty. I get worried about you sometimes, bro. Just think about it. You’re not as young as you used to be. I just can’t believe you would do something so… reckless.”
Tyrone chuckles as he gets up from his chair, walking back and forth. The pain of his brothers harsh words took a lot out of him, but he tries his hardest not to show it. He paces around the office, trying to keep his composure, as he continues to speak.
“It’s not reckless. It’s opportunistic. I said it before and I said it again, you don’t get opportunities like this often. If I don’t take this opportunity now, I may never get one for quite a long time. I may not get a chance against Stacy again, so I kept pressing the matter until she took the bait. You are right that I am not as young as I used to be, and I know that before long, opportunities will really start to flicker and before long just fade away. That’s why, no matter the cost, no matter the toll on my body, I have to do this match. It’s time to show everyone in Pure Class Wrestling that I am a force to be reckoned with and I will not be taken for a fool anymore.”
Carlos throws his hands up in exasperation and gets out of his chair, stepping in front of his brother.
“Whatever, man. It’s your funeral. I’m just trying to watch out for you. But if you are dead set on this, then I’m not going to stop you. You need to think about this and make sure you are as close to go as possible. I can’t stress that enough, Ty. Be prepared. Stacy is a dangerous and deadly female and I don’t want to see you in a damn hospital because you are trying too hard. Do you hear me, man? I want you to be clear of mind and sound of body.”
Tyrone shrugs but nods his head, half-heartedly listening to what his brother is saying.
“Yeah, I got you. I’ll take it seriously. I know what Stacy is capable of, But I seriously don’t think she has what it takes to beat me one-on-one, but I will heed your word. Thanks.”
Crazy Boy and Carlos shake hands as he shakes his head, walking out of the office, taking a quick glance around the gym. People are working out on the weight benches and in a wrestling ring, getting some reps in. Crazy Boy sighs and walks of the gym and walks to his car. He slowly slides in and starts to drive away. When he knows he is far enough away from his brother’s gym, he chuckles slowly to himself.
“He doesn’t realize HOW seriously I’m going to take this match. If he thinks that I am going to take this match lightly, he has another thing coming. This is one of my biggest opportunities in a long in PCW. I can’t afford to take it lightly. Injury and pain and humiliation be damned, I can work through it. I’ve got hit with light tubes, steel chairs, been thrown through tables. I’ve been through it all. There is nothing that Stacy is going to be able to dish out in this match that I haven’t already been through or seen. There is nothing she is going to do to be able to stop me, proving my point from the very beginning.”
Tyrone drives down the highway on the beach, a red light stopping him. As he looks out the window of his car, he can see people jogging down the beach and swimming in the gulf. Crazy Boy chuckles softly to himself as he continues to speak.
“I don’t care what needs to be done. I will go in that ring and I will beat Stacy Jones. She is one of the fastest rising superstars and won biggest debut for a reason, but I need to let her know and everyone in PCW to know that I can be the best of the best and I am no longer a laughingstock. I’ve been on the top of the mountain before and I want to show that I can do it again.”
Crazy Boy drives down the highway, in the distance a large beach house division appearing in the horizon. He keeps his focus on the road, smiling as he continues to drive.
“Stacy. You are one of the best superstars in PCW for a reason and I have deep respect for you, despite what has happened the past few weeks. That is another reason why I challenged you to this match, because I respect you, and I know you respect me as well. This is not only a battle of respect, but I just have so much to prove, as do you.”
The beach house comes closer to view as he stops at a red light, his smile becoming wider. As the light turns green, he starts to drive, Crazy Boy almost deep in thought. He shakes his head furiously, trying his hardest to stay focused on the task at hand. As he drives through the flow of traffic, he continues to speak.
“I don’t care how much pain you will dish out, How much pain I will be in. I will fight through this and I will go out there and give it my all. Stacy, you embarrassed me for the first and LAST time. At Trauma 159, it’s time for me to return the favor. I don’t care what I need to do, Stacy. I will find a way to win this match, and when the time comes, I will show you, Gem and EVERYONE ELSE in PCW that I deserve to be the King of the Underground. You may have won the match at Living a Legacy, but you didn’t beat me. You have all the abilities and you have shown that you deserve to be one of the rising stars of the company.
But listen to me and listen to me well. You haven’t met anyone that has as much determination and heart as me. You can beat me down all you want, but I will find a way to get back up. You can break me, but I will not stay down. I’ve been against the best of the best, people WAY bigger and stronger than me, and I’ve found some way to topple giants. I am not called Crazy Boy for no reason. No one can keep me down, and you are no exception. You may have won the battle, but I WILL win the war.”
Tyrone pulls into the parking lot of the beach house division and pulls into a spot, turning the car off. He sits behind the wheel for a second as he sighs, closing his eyes in thought.
“Like I said, I respect you. You are one hell of an athlete, but if you think I am going to roll over and die for you, you are sadly mistaken. It’s true that I’ve been on a little funk here recently, but it’s bound to end sometime. What better way for someone to get back on track then to show that you had no chance to beat me when it counted, Stacy. I am ready for you, but the question is…
Are you truly ready for me?”
Crazy Boy gets out of the car and stands in the sunshine for a second. He smiles and he walks up the stairs to his beach house and fades from sight.
Static and fade.
End.
