So hey! PCW just debuted the first issue of TRAUMA WARD!, our new review article for Trauma events. What did you think? Should we hang onto it, or let it go? Any changes? Any feedback would be appreciated!

It's great I enjoyed it very much and I would like it to stay as a regular feature in PCW

I liked it. I especially liked that Derek Cosmos was a voting option here. BUT, there is a downside.
Think of it this way; someone new coming into PCW can read the results and enjoy them, but do they really get the storyline implications? Trauma Ward can help with that and keep people in the loop, especially those of us who can't follow every storyline. The downside comes in that if you review a show, people may be less likely to read Trauma at all, besides their own match. MAYBE, who knows.
But I guess there is another plus side to it; I read Trauma this week but Ive' been strapped on time so I wasn't really caught up on some PCW angles. Trauma Ward made me go back, re-read this last trauma, and I got a better grasp on what was happening.
Keep it, damn you!

The poll IS set to two answers per user... xD
And thanks for the detailed thoughts, Whitey. It'll be helpful to Kai in deciding whether or not to keep the article series going.

I like the concept. More articles and news bits will only help. That said, I'm going to echo Whitey here and say if you can get the gist of the show from the article, why read the show? I have a few things I want to discuss with the creative team, but without even getting into any of that, I don't want the results to lose their importance.
I like the recap/review. And for post PPV-Traumas, and/or the go-home Trauma before a PPV, I think the concept helps. BIG TIME. But anymore may kill not only the novelty of the idea, but kill interest in the results.
I definitely liked the concept though, and if time will allow Kai to commit to it, I'd love to see it stay.

I think that's a legitimate concern...but as long as it doesn't detract from anyone's other duties I say go for it.

Surely the trick in limiting the amount of people who would read the recap instead of the full results is to stagger the recap further away from the results. Like a week or after the next rp deadline.

I strongly echo Whitey's sentiments. It may deter some from reading the full results.
That said, I liked it very much.
Suggestions: Change it to a PRE-Trauma article. Possibly include predictions, speculations, etc. Maybe even have some exclusive interviews or "insider" information to tease the upcoming show. Give the handlers something to chew on while we're waiting for the results to post.
-OR-
Perhaps instead of focusing on the match happenings/outcomes, focus more on the ongoing feud or prior history of the characters. Perhaps even throw in some obscure nuggets or little known historical facts to get some of the newer or busier handlers caught up on the recent storylines.
Either way, I'm a sucker for articles. Whether this one changes or stays the same, I'll enjoy it.

I suppose maybe interjecting more opinion in, possibly taking into account the RP work the writers did, could make it separate from the results. Personally, I would never just read a highlight reel as a substitute for the show, but I know what you're saying.

I guess maybe if it inhabited more of a column aspect, or took into account the RPs of Trauma instead of just the results. I think I'm saying that right.

So work in more individual Character/ storyline info rather than match recap? That would work well with Sadistic's suggestion of making it more of a hype/build/angle column of speculation. I like that idea a lot, actually. Thanks for clarifying! What does everyone think of that? More of a character/storyline column than Trauma recap? I could save the actual full show reviews for PPV. FUrther comments? Questions? (Yes I said I was LOA but the wedd I no is over and I'm in an Irish pub waiting for pizza and onion rings.)
