BUBBLING OVER PART 1
"I often forget about a lot of things these days, mostly my beginnings and how I've always been. A monster. As a baby my mother and father told everyone something was wrong with me. When my mother died in 1995, she died telling me I was never going to be a good person, and my father continued to treat me as such. In school I was classified by my teachers as a young thug. A punk little bitch by the older kids! I only had my sister, Slick, my little band of fellow thugs, and my wrestling.
I was always told I had no purpose, that I was wasting my time. 28 years later here I am stepping into the ring with a man they call Crazy Boy, Underground rules meaning anything goes, and for the title of Kingsmem to the underground. I ran the streets in New York, gaining the reigns of crime in South Carolina both inside and outside the ring, and Sunday night I claim my seat to savagery. The rage and anger is BUBBLING over!"
New York, New York 1998
"Class if you could turn to page 168 in your history text and read to yourself while I go get copies of the test," Coach Harmon muttered to his students. Most of them half asleep. One student however was lost in his own head a place he stayed most of the time after his mother passed away.
The topic of this chapter was about the formation of 'The Black Hand'. Their creed was Ujedinjenje ili Smrt or 'Unification or Death'. Cory even as a child was obsessed with the more weirder things in life, like wrestling. At the current moment he was deep into drawing one of his favorite wrestlers, Rob Van Dam, when something smacked him in the back of the head. He was use to being bullied, being a larger kid and weird always painted him with a target. The main suspect was always Sheldon Hurst. Cory ignored the first object.
Then the second.
The third one made him look around, Sheldon and his buddies were hiding laughter behind their hands.
Cory continued to draw when the fourth object hit him really hard and he jumped out of his seat, "Knock it the fuck off Sheldon!"
As Cory went to sit back down one of Sheldons friends jerks his drawing off his desk. Cory tried to grab for it but the kid was already handing it to Sheldon who took it and instantly began to laugh showing it to everyone in class.
That little seed of rage flared inside Cory as he watched. Tears burned his eyes. He wanted to hurt Sheldon but another fight and his dad was going to bust his bottom.
"Oh lard ass Cory drawing your boyfriend?", Sheldon spat his hate out to Corys classmates who laughed, "I'm sure your mother killed herself because she has such a little douche for a son! A wrestling obsessed little douche bag fuck face!".
An hour later....
He didn't recall exactly what happened until he was sitting in the principles office the sound of his father's voice as he talked to the principle. Cory had grabbed his history book and using the corner of the book he drove it hard into Sheldons nose breaking it, then he smacked him again, again, and again. When it was over Cory had broken Sheldons nose, fractured his eye socket, and knocked out six teeth. Cory had a black eye, busted lip, and a bloody nose but most of that was done by Sheldons friends as they tried to pull Cory off. His father stormed out of the office past Cory who got up following his father out of the school. When they got into the car his father took a deep breath, "Why Cory? Hasn't the death of your mother done enough to change you?! Goddammit what are you? Is this how you want to be remember by when you get older or when you die? The little shit who beat everyone up?!"
Cory didn't answer. He knew what he wanted to be but his father would be madder. He finally spoke however, "No dad but they were talking about mom!"
"NO THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT HOW BIG OF A LOSER YOU ARE!", his father's harsh words burned Cory so much he actually sunk away from his father, "Losers are wrestlers Cory! No one who is a Steel is a loser Cory! You will never be a wrestler Cory or some street trash hoodrat! Period!".
"Yes I will," Cory said lowly but with attitude, "I'm going to prove you all wrong."
His father glared hard at his son before back handing him across the mouth, "Get out! Get out now and walk home since you're such a big tough man!"
Cory didn't think twice he swung the door open jumping out and slamming the door shut. His father then drove away. Closing his eyes he wished he could hire someone to kill his father so he could escape from his control. But things like that, like The Black Hand just didn't exist.
BUBBLING OVER PART 2
"Wake up peaches"
Piper stirred a little, her head was pounding and her eyes adjusted to the florescent light shinning down from the ceiling. She couldn't really see who she was talking to but Piper smelled the liquor on his breath, the heat from his breath mixed with the liquor burning the back of her throat like acid. Bitter. She loathed this man. Cory Steel.
"You've got to eat or you'll die."
He sat a tray in front of her. She smelled cold Taco Bell. With no time to react or sit up she was jerked to her feet by chains and forced back against the cold stainless steel table. Everything was getting clear and she remembers the time they had made love on that table, but a hard slap brings her back.
"I have a great deal of things to say love," he shouted at her giving her a good shake, "For quiet sometime I've felt the need to strangle you! You crippled me and slowly took away everything I loved! My town, girlfriend, money, and it goes on and on and on!".
Cory pushes her back and begins to pace around the table. He was muttering incoherently to her, then himself, and then to nobody. From her point of view Cory was clearly crazy. Piper was startled back on track when Cory slammed both fists on the table, "Hello are you staying with me?! Do you see how everything is working here? How I always win? This is my game Piper and my life, you fucked with the wrong person. I am the Bear.".
"I should have known to never trust a clown to do my work," she cried back to Cory wiping tears away, "I should have killed you the first time I fucked you, but no I underestimated you.".
Cory laughed shrugging in agreement, "Everyone has and I don't mind.".
"Yeah, well that big dumbass looking head of yours is a big issue," she said with a smile, "I thought I could control you."
"The last person who tried that was filled full of lead," The Bear said while imitating a firing gun and then a match being struck, "And burned away from life. I plan to do the same thing to you too.".
Piper jumps up and laughs, "You don't have the balls!".
The Bear roars out of control jerking her up across the table and pulls out his pistol putting it up against her temple.
He growled at her through gritted teeth, "You don't know me then!".
MONSTER VS. MONSTER
Cory and Omar were in the sand pit inside Corys bar, they had been training all morning, and it was clearly intense between the them. The two men had been going at each other since they had met years ago, Cory always the menacing bully, and Omar the peaceful defending idiot. Their odd friendship however was the reason Cory felt he had the best training. They would beat the hell out of each other week in and week out, that was the BEST training.
Now here they were another day, bleeding, and circling each other getting Cory ready for his biggest match in his PCW career.
"You can't hold back," Omar said as he danced from side to side from foot to foot, "Tyrone sure as hell isn't! He wants this more than you and I think he'll kick your teddy bear ass!".
"I'm not holding back or do you want me to kill you?," Cory roared back at Omar. Deadly Intentions was going to be a blood fest between Tyrone and Cory, but for Cory there was only ONE outcome for this special event and that was him taking the mantle as PCW's King of the Underground! He'd have to be broken or killed to be stopped, Tyrone was probably capable of breaking him in his prime however that was a little beyond him now for Cory was in his prime and solely in tune with his savagery, but he was no killer either!
Omar squared his shoulders to Cory in a defensive position ready for Cory to attack. The Bear charges ready to take Omars head off with a clothesline but Omar ducks the outstretched arm and rounds on him to kick Cory in the back! The Bear turns back around swinging on Omar which he easily evades bobbing left, then right, and left.
Cory felt his inner animal getting riled but Omar dodged his punches. Omar dives under Corys large fist and rolls on his back to his feet, he runs to the pit wall jumping on top, and leaps backwards round house kicking Cory! The Bear drops to one knee trying to get back up Omar quickly jumps on Cory locking in a triangle choke hold.
As Cory tries to fight the hold he recounts his many crossings with Crazy Boy, this was his arsenal high flying and submission moves. It was nothing new for the Bear but it was this moment he began to really wonder how far was Crazy Boy going to go?
Cory had stepped away from the scene very briefly to deal with Alexa but Crazy Boy had been in since day one, giving it his all to get to this moment. Had Cory up to this moment underestimated Tyrone? The seasoned PCW vet? A man who has been in this spot before and at a time long ago actually handled a title.
Everything began to fade, scenes of the future danced in his eyes, and it would end like this for him at Deadly Intentions. Two monsters giving it their all just for it to end with Cory getting choked out?
No. No it would not.
The Bear planted his feet into the sand and grabbed Omars belt loop.
Cory had done to much on his path of destruction to get 'choked out'!
He could hear Omar yelling at him to get up and get out of this, he was a fucking bear! Cory yells through the choke and finally stands up holding Omar in the air, he feels Omar tighten the hold but it does him no good as Cory slams Omar back to the ground, and he does it again, and again, and again.
Each slam Omar loosens up until finally he lets go. The Bear takes a moment to breath but he instead picks Omar up from the ground high above his head. He then hurls Omar over the sand pit wall and he crashes through some of the bar tables.
Cory jumps up on the wall and down to the other side getting met with a volley of left handed jabs! For a small guy Omar could pack a punch but Cory was a true hardened brawler, he slaps away a right jab, then blocks a wold haymaker and he uses the moment to unleash a series of punches himself.
It was effective as Omar falls into the bar with a busted nose, "Come on pussy Crazy Boy isn't going to go down like that with that type of sissy combo crap!".
This angered The Bear and he locks up with Omar, but he is caught off guard by a quick knee to his gut, then another, and finally Omar drives Corys face into the bar cracking his own nose.
Grabbing his nose Cory doesn't notice Omar jumping onto the bar top, pulling Cory by the hair leaping off the counter, and bull dogging him through a table.
Omar gets to his feet picking up a chair, "Come on bitch! Its underground rules and I thought The Bear was king of the fucking Underground?!".
He then slams the chair across Corys back until it breaks. Cory slowly gets to his knees just as Omar begins to hammer blows to Corys face some of them landing on Corys already broken nose.
"Every big moment for you Cory has always ended in shame!".
It was true Cory thought, he had always squandered golden opportunities.
"Crazy Boy is going tear you a part! The Black Hand will disown a little bitch of a enforcer like you Cory!".
It was the blood draining down the back of his throat that woke Cory up and he grabs Omar by the testicles twisting them. Omar screams out in pain but Cory jumps up grabbing Omar around the throat lifting him straight off his feet into the air driving him through another table!
Not letting go Cory picks Omar up again straight into the air and slams him through another table. Standing to Omars side he begins to kick Omar in the ribs until Omar rolls away and jumps to his feet. They both begin to trade blows with each other however Cory gains the upper hand again when he stuns Omar with a upper cut and steps back big booting him in the face.
"I am going to beat the living hell out of Tyrone," he yells picking Omar up again, "and with his blood I will sacrifice him to the Black Hand as proof that I am what they need. I will lay my life down for them. For the cause. We will be unstoppable after Deadly Intentions!"
Cory steps back about four steps before charging at Omar and appearing him through the glass doors! They spill into the street and Cory is almost hit by a car. Omar lays on his back on shattered glass moaning in pain. Cory gives him no rest when he picks Omar up again high over his head and tosses him onto the hood of a car.
"I am a King. I will claim my throne at Deadly Intentions! ".
DON'T GO DOWNTOWN
Cory hadn't sat behind his office desk in months, and even after being there all day it felt foreign to him. The Bear longed to be back at Hangtown drinking at The Rowdy Dwarf, training in the thick woods, or hunting. But he did have a business to run and having left everything in his junkie sisters care it was a mess. Between legit work, his illegal work, and the upcoming title match his mind was scrambled. His primal rage was beginning to boil over and he felt sorry for Crazy Boy. His soon to be whipping post. His sacrifice to the Underground. His thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door.
meanwhile downtown....
Othello was walking down the street seemingly lost in his own thoughts while carrying groceries. The masked monster stops in front of a newspaper box and ducks down to read the headlines of today's paper.
back at the killing time saloon...
It was Omar walking through the door his eyes black and swollen. He had cuts everywhere but he acted like his usual self, "Morning boss, got the mail."
He hands Cory a stack of mail but the only package Cory paid mind to was a big Brown envelope.
"What's that Bear man?".
meanwhile downtown....
A black van comes to a screeching halt behind Othello and the door slides open six masked men storm out of the back. Othello is able to fight off three of them before being stun gunned into submission. They all pitch in picking Othello up and throwing him into the van, but before they close the door they toss his mask out onto the bag of groceries. The passenger leans out the window with a camera phone and snaps a few pictures of the mask and groceries before the van pulls away.
back at the killing time saloon...
Cory grins and opens the envelope, "Its a nice sweet payment from our friend Mister Ford."
"What's he owe you for?", Omar said quizzical. The Bear laughs spreading the large sum of cash out before Omar.
"Its a down payment to keep me from entering the rumble."
Omar arches his eyebrow surprised, "Your not entering? Interesting."
"Lord no, I have nothing against Whitey and I'm not stepping on the toes of The Black Hand. I have a shot at what I want and that's all I need. Don't go downtown if you don't have too!".
"I often forget about a lot of things these days, mostly my beginnings and how I've always been. A monster. As a baby my mother and father told everyone something was wrong with me.
