The 11th Edition of the PCW Icey Awards
Live, December 30, 2014
From the sold-out Peace Center in Greenville, South Carolina
The Peace Center is the venue of choice for yet another addition of The Icey Awards. Outside the building leading in is a fine “PCW blue” carpet. Surrounding that carpet are a ton of excited fans who are tailgating this special event, while inside the arena is jam-packed with fans, personnel, and celebrities- all dressed to impress.
Some of the celebrities sitting at ringside include: Seth Rogen, James Franco, Phil Brooks, Hugh Jackman, Cameron Diaz, Al Pacino, Dolly Parton, and Robert Downey Jr. No fan signs this go around, as this is a ceremonious night. The feed switches to Jerry Andrews and Ace Anderson, also wearing their finest dress suits, at ringside.)
Jerry Andrews: We are live at the Peace Center here in Greenville for Trauma episode 164.
Ace Anderson: It's not just Trauma 164, Jerry. This is The Iceys, baby!
Jerry Andrews: Indeed it is, Ace. I can't speak for anyone else, but I can tell you that I'm sure as hell excited about this year's event. It started earlier for us than the fans watching around the world, as the Pre-show, hosted by Shane Dodge and Kassandra Black, announced to us some of the winners of the evening...
Ace Anderson: Such as Sadistic winning The Icey for Best Match because of his victory at the 2014 Deadly Rumble and Whitey Ford, Eira, and Murdoc...uh...“winning” the Most Heated Rivalry award.
Jerry Andrews: We will have a full-posting of winners and nominees on our website: pureclasswrestling.com. But up first is our first award for the evening- PCW's Most Loved Superstar...
Ace Anderson: ...Presented by...Mr. Claus!
The sound of sleigh bells fills the Peace Center, bringing a festive feel to this show.
“Here Comes Santa Claus” soon kicks in and walking and waving onto the stage is Pure Class Wrestling Owner “The Icemann” Luis Malave; Wearing his finest suit, a Santa hat, and carrying a small red sack.)
Ace Anderson: The Icemann is in the building.
Jerry Andrews: That's not Santa Claus :: That's Icey Claus!
Ace Anderson: What a Christmas present.
Presenter: Icey Claus
Past Winners: Angelica Night-Hunter; Lantlas; Pegasus; Nacho Grande (x3); Q; Kelli Starr; Andy D
Luis takes in the adulation of the attendees and then walks over to the podium where he sets his ahem sack down. As he does, the music cuts off. “If there's one way to get a pop...,” he begins, “...it's to walk out here in front of you, the Pure Class Wrestling audience...bearing gifts.” Luis shares a brief laugh with the crowd and continues. “But the best gift I can give tonight is the award for Most Loved.” Luis reaches into the sack on the podium and pulls out the award.
“Here are your nominees...
Andy D
Dollface
Derek Cosmos
Stormm
Gem
And the winner is ...
... DEREK COSMOS!”
The crowd cheers in approval at the announcement but even more so when Derek Cosmos steps out onto the stage. Derek walks over to the podium and extends his hand towards Icey Claus. Luis turns to the crowd, smiles, and then back to Cosmos to accept the handshake. “Hi. I'm Derek...” “I know who you are. I think everyone knows who you are.”
Derek releases the shake and accepts the award. “Of course you would know who I am Santa. But I just want to say thank you to all my fans. You like me. You really like me! But Santa...” Derek looks out The Icemann. Luis chuckles and says, “I'm not really Santa. I'm Luis Malave- PCW Owner.” “Do you think you can do me a favor? Can you tell Frank Foley who I am?” Luis raises an intrigued eyebrow: “I actually think I can do that. Actually, I can tell you that he will be presenting Breakout Star. I have a good feeling you might get to tell him yourself. Good luck kid. Derek Cosmos, ladies and gentlemen.”
Derek waves towards the ceiling as “Galactic” by New Nobility plays and Icey Claus walks him away from the podium.
Winner: Derek Cosmos with 50% of the vote (Runner-up: Andy D with 21%)
Jerry Andrews: Are you ready for this one, Ace?
Ace Anderson: I'm not sure if it's possible to be ready for this one! The new PCW World Champion Sadistic is about to take on his brother and fellow Black Hand teammate Grimm in a street fight!
Jerry Andrews: This one's not for the title, but I bet it's still going to be brutal!
Match One
Non-Title Street Fight
Sadistic (World ©) vs. Grimm
Referee: Manny Cruz
Grimm is the first one out for what will surely be a vicious affair. Each epic battle between brothers Phinehas Grimm and Billy Sadistic has always been a clinic in violence and brutality. Grimm's left hand bears a black glove, symbolic of the Black Hand, while his other hand is taped for this exhibition street fight. Grimm is about halfway down the aisle when he's blindsided from behind by his brother, the PCW World Champion! Being that it's a street fight and all, Manny Cruz quickly calls for the bell and this “match” has officially started!
Sadistic is the early aggressor. Bullying his brother with a brotherly beatdown, he batters him down to the ringside area. Making liberal use of the guardrail and Grimm's forehead, it's not long before Grimm is BUSTED WIDE OPEN! Not shy about using his bleeding head as a weapon, Phinehas stuns his brother with a spectacular headbutt! The Lord of Misrule goes on the offensive and starts by introducing Billy's face to the ringpost. Sadistic is staggered, allowing Grimm to slam his ugly mug into the ring apron over and over again. If you're expecting wrestling holds, you're watching the wrong match.
Sadistic breaks free from Grimm's grasp and slides into the safety of the ring. Phinehas is right behind him. Sprinting across the ring, Sadistic baseball slides under the bottom rope to get away from his brother and has a few choice words for that chump on commentary, Ace Anderson. Anderson doesn't even give Billy the courtesy of a warning – and Grimm's suicide dive catches Sadistic in the back and sends both men into the commentary table! His lower lumbar aching, Sadistic crawls away on hands and knees. Hopping onto the ring apron, Grimm measures his brother before sprinting down the runway and connecting with a flying kneedrop to the back of Sadistic's head. The Phenom is down and out! Grimm makes a quick cover and Manny is there to count. Sadistic gets a weak shoulder up after two. He's clearly smarting from that kneedrop.
Rolling to his stomach, half of Sadistic's body is beneath the ring apron. Grimm takes a moment to arm himself with a steel chair before continuing his brotherly assault. Phinehas approaches with chair overhead, but walks right into the end of a baseball bat jab a la Billy Sadistic. Having fished the weapon from under the ring, he swings at Grimm. The Abomination of Desolation manages to deflect the blow partially with the chair. Sadistic swings again, knocking the chair from Grimm's hands! Grimm backs away, but Sadistic takes another cut at him! Grimm rolls out of the way and Sadistic connects with steel ringpost! The vibration shocks his hands, causing him to drop the bat. Phinehas, still dripping blood, surges forward and plants the Phenom with the Lament Configuration on the concrete! Another cover! 1...2...kickout!
Sadistic's cranium is ringing as he tries to pull himself into the ring. Grimm begins rifling beneath the ring in search of...a ladder! A big ladder! A twenty footer! As he pulls the ladder out from under the ring, the crowd begins to buzz. Grimm shoves the monstrosity under the bottom rope as Sadistic regains his senses. Phinehas sticks his head through the middle rope, but catches a boot to the side of the face for his troubles. With Phinehas wilted over the middle rope, Sadistic locks him by the head and drags him into the ring. Grimm's boots are still hooked onto the second rope as the Phenom pulls him taut before – BAM! Sadistic DDT! With the match in hand, Sadistic makes the cover. 1...2...KICKOUT!
Sadistic can't believe it! Manny Cruz reaffirms that it was only two. Frustrated, Sadistic sets the ladder up inside the ring. You could probably reach the heavens from the top of that ladder...or at least the top of the arena. Grimm is starting to stir, so Sadistic decides to put him back down with a piledriver. Then, he ascends the ladder. About twelve feet in the air, he decides that's quite high enough. Sizing up his brother, he takes flight with a swandive headbutt!!! And eats canvas! Grimm moved at the last second! The fans let out a roar. Possibly in favor of Grimm? Blood from Grimm's head wound is flowing through his red locks, but you'd never know it. Pulling Sadistic up by the beard, Grimm lays into him with some stiff Muay Thai kicks that put the champion back down on the mat. The Lord of Misrule rolls to the outside...
...and returns with a shovel! Sadistic is slow to his feet, but when he stands – WHAM!!! Shovel to the face! The force is so great that the wooden handle snaps on impact, and Sadistic is out like a light! Rather than make the cover, Grimm looks to the top of the ladder. The fans come to their feet. Blood has started to trickle from a nasty head wound on Sadistic's forehead as Phinehas climbs the rungs of the ladder. He's ten feet...fifteen feet...eighteen feet...twenty feet in the air! Perched wobbly atop the ladder, he peers down at his immobile brother from the sky. The arena sparkles with flashbulbs as Grimm takes flight! Swanton Bomb from twenty feet! And he connects!!! The roar of the crowd is electrifying! Both men are down on the mat. Sadistic still hasn't moved, but Grimm is clutching his mid-section. Slowly, but surely, Grimm crawls over and makes the cover. 1...2...kickout! Somehow, Sadistic sneaks the shoulder up. Now it's Grimm's turn to look on in disbelief.
Grimm and Sadistic, the Hangtown Horrors, are both bloody messes...in the name of holiday spirit, no less! After what seems like an eternity, the two begin to move. Grimm heads for the ladder and Sadistic does the same. The Dillinger Brothers begin climbing opposite sides and once again, the PCW Faithful are back on their feet. Something bad is gonna happen. Higher and higher they go. Grimm is to the top first, and he hammers Sadistic with a big left hand. Sadistic reaches the top and fires back. Grimm smashes Billy's face into the ladder, causing his grip to loosen. Sadistic responds with a thrust to the throat, knocking Phinehas off balance. Grimm strikes true with the Sword of Heimdall and one of Sadistic's feet gives way! In desperation, Sadistic lunges at his brother and sinks his teeth into his forehead! There is a fierce struggle atop the ladder as it begins to rock to and fro. Both men attempt to steady the ladder, but it's too late. Like a giant oak tree, it slowly begins to tip. TIMBER! From that elevation, Grimm and Sadistic are launched from the ring like catapult fodder! SMASH!!! The brothers are sent crashing through the announcers' table! The SPANISH announcers' table! Phinehas and William are left bloody and motionless amidst the rubble, and Manny Cruz is left with no choice but to start the mandatory ten-count. Neither man has moved by the time he reaches ten. With neither competitor able to reach their feet, Manny has no choice but to call the match.
Winner: No Contest
Ace Anderson: Woah...
Jerry Andrews: We're going to need some time to recover from that folks. We'll be right back.
Trauma returns and we are backstage. Standing by is Shane Dodge, PCW's backstage interviewer, alongside Alexa Black who stands menacingly alongside him.
Shane: "I have with me one of PCW's most dangerous competitors Alexa Black. Alexa last week you turned violently on your two bodyguards without warning leaving both of them in immediate need of hospitalisation. Would you care to explain why you did that?"
Alexa: "It's quite simple Shane, even a dolt like you should be able to work it out. I was sick of their stuff ups. I was sick of their failure to get the job done as I have asked. I hired them to be my go to guys to protect me and make sure that what I wanted I got."
"Instead all I got was failure and excuses. So I decided that their services were no longer needed and terminated their contracts effective immediately."
"By bashing their brains in with a pipe?"
"Yes that part was fun. I love the sound a pipe makes cracking someone's head like a walnut. Watching the blood flow like a good red wine. It's such a treat. And last week I took great joy in cracking Cage's skull open and watching as he bled all over the floor. Then I crushed Knight just because I could."
She flashs a wicked smile and we see Shane looking decidedly uncomfortable. He takes a step away and continues the interview.
"Now I'm not sure if you're aware of this but, after their trip to the hospital, they were re-hired by PCW to full time contracts. They can still wrestle here any time the are booked."
"WHAT?!??"
She grabs Shane by the throat and lifts him up against the wall and slams him into it. Shane wriggles and struggles but can't break free of Alexa's powerful grip.
"A-a-and you've got a match against them tonight."
Black lets out a screech in a rage and throws Shane to the floor where he quickly runs for his life up the corridor as fast as his legs can take him.
Alexa Black isn't done. She upends two nearby tables sending food and drinks everywhere making an almighty mess. She sees a coffee machine and rips it out of the wall, hurling it through a nearby window, shattering it to pieces which shower the floor.
"RAAAAAAAAAAARGH!"
Some poor PA who is in the wrong place at the wrong time is her next unfortunate victim. She grabs him and, using all her might, throws him through a nearby door with a sickening crunch.
She continues up the corridor smashing and destroying everything in her path as we cut back to the stage for the next award.
Presenter: Emma Watson
Past Winners: Benjamin Banks; Lantlas; Grimm; Nacho Grande; Andy D(x4); Ace Anderson
The lovely Ms. Emma Watson walks to the podium; Known to many because of her role as Hermione from the Harry Potter franchise, she burst onto the political activist scene in 2014 with a very vocal role in the fight for Women Rights. “I'd like to think I've inspired many a people, but I think inspiration can come in many shapes, sizes, and form. Professional wrestling is an inspired form of combat arts and I am honored to present the award for Most Inspirational.
Here are your nominees:
The Black Hand (Grimm; Mr. Showtime; Sadistic)
Derek Cosmos
Andy D
Eira
Gem
And the winner is ...
... DEREK COSMOS!”
For the second time tonight, Derek Cosmos walks out onto the stage- this time he's not alone. No no, he's coming with an Icey. Oh, and also Stacy Jones.
Draped in a beautiful blue dress, Stacy escorts her man to the podium. “I truly am inspired to be standing between these two beautiful women,” Derek says blushingly. “I would have never thought in a million years that traveling into the past to save the world of the future would garner me such accolades as PCW's Most Loved and Most Inspirational Performer. I thank you all for your support. With you and us, we will rid the world of Oldman Andy's corruption before it can even truly begin.”
Winner: Derek Cosmos with 50% of the vote (Runners-up: The Black Hand, Andy D, & Eira with 14%)
Presenter: Frank Foley
Past Winners: N/A
Derek raises both his awards high when he's startled by the blaring of, “Born to be Wild” by Steppenwolf. Walking onto the stage is PCW President Frank Foley. Foley walks over to Derek, Stacy, and Emma and shakes all three of their hands. Derek is dumbfounded.
President Foley busts out a small two step and a terrible lip-synced rendition of the playing Born to be Wild. Emma and Stacy walk off the stage, Stacy trying to pull Derek along with her, but he is stuck in his tracks, starstruck. Stacy and Emma then leave Derek to admire Foley as he speaks.
“The men and women who compete in Pure Class Wrestling are a special breed of competitor and I for one am honored to be out here to present the Breakout Star Icey. The Breakout Star Icey Award was my idea because I thought it was time that the competitors who are breaking into Pure Class Wrestling are given a chance to shine and have some recognition. On the shortlist of talent that have taken to PCW and reached for that brass ring...
...I announce to you your nominees:
Nathan Saniti
Eric Cosmos
Cory Steel
Gem
Joka
And the winner is ...
... GEM!
Derek Cosmos comes walking onto the stage to accept the award, but Gem passes him by from off-screen. Derek sees Gem walking over to shake Frank's hand and, like a puppy, begins walking away.
Gem accepts her award and nods to the audience, Derek Cosmos turns back to the stage and walks over towards the podium, but stops. it would be rude to interrupt Gem and spoil her moment.
Gem walks away from the scene, and shakes Foley's hand once again as she does. Foley turns back to the podium and declares, “Gem- the first PCW Breakout Star Icey Award Winner.” Derek is raising his hand cautiously in-front of Foley who answers, “Yes, Eric?”
“Actually, Sir, it's Derek...Derek Cosmos. I just wanted to tell you that I thought you did a phenomenal job with your introduction of the award, but you mispronounced my name.”
“I know who you are. You're a two-time Icey Award winner now. You didn't win the award for Breakout Star this time, kid, but I seen them all- Ace Anderson, Lantlas, Stormm, LoKi...even this year's Hall of Fame inductee Non Compos Mentis...they ground it out and became PCW Legends. You didn't win the Breakout Star Award this year, but I think it's important you know who you are.”
“I'm Derek Cosmos.”
“That's right,” says Foley. “You're Eric Cosmos.”
Winner: Gem with 69% of the vote (Runners-up: Derek Cosmos & Nathan Saniti with 15% each.)
Match Two
Handicap Match
Alexa Black vs. Fraizer Knight & Samson Cage
Referee: Charles Lim
"The following is a two-on-one handicap match scheduled for one fall!"
The crowd looks to the entrance way as “Black Widow” by In This Moment roars out. The crowd knows who is coming out from backstage and they start booing loudly almost drowning out the music.
Alexa Black steps through the curtain her face lit up with a wicked smile.
She walks slowly down the ramp as the booing intensifies as the PCW faithful don't hold back their hatred of this evil woman.
She mocks the crowd and badmouths fans on the way using various profanity which has to be bleeped out. She sees a kid at ringside and rips up his sign with a laugh.
As she continues to walk down to the ring as the crowd grows louder and louder so even the announcers can't get a word in over the booing.
"Introducing first, residing in Los Angeles, California: Alexa Black!"
She reaches the ring and Alexa climbs up on the ring apron.
She enters the ring and the crowd starts throwing rubbish at her. Food and cups of beer fly in from all directions but she simply doesn't care.
The music fades out as Alexa stays in the ring waiting for her opponents to arrive.
“Somebody's Gonna Get It” by 3 Six Mafia blasts through the PCW area speaker as Cage and Knight step through the curtain. As soon as they do their music is drowned out by the boos and jeers.
"And her opponents, they are the Faces of Fear, Fraizer Knight and Samson Cage!"
The reach the ring and Cage goes up the steps on one side and Knight the other.
They enter the ring and the crowd boos as the bell rings to indicate the start of this handicap match.
Before the referee can get any control in the match, Alexa is cornered in a turnbuckle by the two large men as they unleash flurries of punches, kicks and elbows to the vulnerable vixen. A few sharp jabs to the neck and shoulders and Alexa is knocked down, sitting in the corner, a sitting duck until the referee finally gets between them and sternly tells Knight and Cage to back off. They do so for a moment as Alexa gets to her feet, panting and out of breath from the beatdown.
The referee argues with the two men and forces one to leave the ring, with Cage as the legal man. Regrouping, Alexa shakes it off and gets to the centre of the ring. Cage wastes no time in grabbing Alexa and holding her by her hair, wrenching her towards him to pick her up and slam her down with a sit-down side slam, hitting the canvas with a sickening crunch. Alexa hits the mat and starts crawling to the ropes, managing to grab the bottom rope and hold on tight as Samson Cage grabs her by the ankles, attempting to pull her away.
The referee starts to count, telling Cage to let her go. Alexa screams as she grasps at the bottom rope, holding on for dear life. The referee counts 2 and now Knight enters the ring, arguing with the referee and pushing him away as he starts kicking Alexa’s arms to try and force her to let go. With a count of 3 and then 4, the ref orders Cage to let go of her. He just ignores him until the referee gets in his face, pointing and yelling at him to stop at which point Cage lets go of Alexa and shoves the referee back so hard, he falls to the canvas. She then charges at her opponent, swinging wildly with right and left hands, connecting with each of them.
A brawl erupts between the three competitors, all three swinging at each other. Finally Cage and Knight use their numbers advantage to get an upper hand. They high five and both go to town on the fallen Alexa Black. Suddenly, the bell rings as the fallen referee calls the DQ and gets out of dodge, afraid to mess with the “Faces of Fear” and Alexa Black. Alexa crawls out of the ring to regroup, holding her ankle with clear signs of pain before the music of PCW’s own Frank Foley hits as the suited honcho heads to the ramp with a microphone in hand.
Foley: “Now now, this is NOT what the doctor ordered now is it? This is the ICEYS and we promised the fans some dream matches, not some beatdowns and rulebreaking… but then again, if beatdowns and rulebreakings interest you, then why not restart this contest….with UNDERGROUND RULES! Alexa, Cage, Knight….you better get ready, your match restarts after the commercial break.
Jerry Andrews: Ladies and gentlemen, we're back and it has been a wild night on Trauma! Before the break, we saw Cage and Knight use their numbers advantage to get some revenge on Alexa Black. That match got so chaotic that it was stopped by the referee!
Ace Anderson: But then Frank Foley restarted the match as an Underground Rules contest! And here we go with that match!
Alexa, Samson Cage and Frazier Knight are standing in the ring as the bell chimes. Under these rules, there is no legal or illegal partner, both Cage and Knight able to compete at once. On hearing the bell, Alexa dives at Cage and lands a punch straight to his jaw, followed by a few punches to his upper body before Frazier Knight pulls her off by her hair and kicks her in the midsection. It looks grim for Alexa as these two powerhouses both take turns grabbing her and laying the smack down with a series of power strikes.
Knight grabs Alexa and hits an Irish whip but she hangs on to the rope, slides out and hits the soft mats outside the ring. She reaches under the ring apron desperately to try and find anything to turn the tides of this encounter, wrapping her hands around a familiar friend, the kendo stick! She grasps it and pulls it out before sliding under the bottom rope stealthily as Cage and Knight celebrate and taunt the fans.
She creeps up behind them and smacks the Kendo stick on the shoulders of the humongous Samson Cage and thwacks it across the head of Frazier Knight. Continuous blows of the sharp and painful kendo stick knock both men to the floor eventually. Alexa screams as if possessed, her blows constant and unyielding until the big guy, Cage grabs the stick and pulls it from her grasp, tossing it out of the ring and getting to his feet. Growling at Alexa, he runs at her with a High Impact Spear, knocking her to the ground and laying across her, holding her shoulders to the mat, almost a mercy killing as the referee counts the 1….2….3.
Medics rush the ring as Cage helps Knight get to his feet and walk up the ramp, the two men smug from victory as paramedics see to Alexa Black, checking her vitals and vision as the crowd boos loudly.
WINNERS: Samson Cage & Frazier Knight: the Faces of Fear.
The shot changes back to to the Icey Awards stage where the audience is ready to see the next award be presented.
Presenter: Bill Cosby
Past Winners: The Untouchables; Non Compos Mentis; Jason Willard; Justin Michaels; AWAssholes; Areas; Marshall’s Law; Whitey Ford
On the stage, in his finest green and red Christmas sweater, is American Television Legend Bill Cosby. He walks to the podium and speaks. “Daaah...I think there was a BIT of a mix-up in presenters but nevertheless...
Here are your nominees:
Murdoc
whitey
The Black Hand (Grimm; Mr. Showtime; Sadistic)
Stormm
Alexa Black
And the winner is...
... WHITEY FORD!
“Bad Man” by Bobflex plays and onto the podium steps Whitey Ford. No regard to the occasion at hand, Whitey wears a tattered pair of jeans, sneakers, a jean vest with no shirt underneath and to finish the look, he caps it off with a backwards ball cap on his head. Ford walks over to the podium and as he does, his music cuts off.
“I wasn't even going to come out here, but it's Bill F'n Cosby, man. Hey Bill, you were America's Sweetheart Dad since the invention of the television- how does it feel to be the biggest piece of raping scum on the planet?”
The PCW Faithful cheer at Whitey's bluntness and Bill's face turns a bit red at the allegations. “Listen Cosb...I've done a lot of bad, bad things...and a lot of people dislike me. I mean, a lot. But you're a special kind of piece of crap. I hope your career isn't the only thing you end up having burned in Hell.”
Cosby in a fit of rage pushes Whitey and then walks off the stage. Whitey chuckles then leaves the stage himself.
Winner: Whitey Ford with 62% of the vote (Runner-up: The Black Hand with 30%)
Jerry Andrews: Welcome to PCW Trauma and the Icey Awards!
Ace Anderson: It's been a hell of a night and we're not even close to being done yet!
Jerry Andrews: Right now it's time for a very special moment: the PCW Hall of Fame Induction.
Presenter: Alejandro Walker & Skylar Marshall
Past Inductees: Heavy Metal; LoKi; Tha Unholy Alliance; Murdoc; The Fallen Five
First out onto the stage, to the less than gracious welcome from the crowd that he’s used to, is the PCW Minority Owner Skylar Marshall. His confident swagger is unchanged, however the grin on his face is something different. With that, he halts and looks back… welcoming out the former PCW President and current Agent, ‘The Captain’ Alejandro Walker! The Captain walks onto the stage to a huge ovation from the fans and, for once in their careers, he and Marshall put their differences aside to walk to the podium together.
Walker leans into the microphone and speaks, sounding sombre and humble. “Thank y’all. For the PCW community it’s been a tough year and we’ve lost a great many of our beloved family. At the last Iceys we honoured those Fallen Five who shaped PCW’s history, but tonight we’ve honoured those still with us who shape the future.”
Passing the speech on to his presenting partner, Walker takes a step back and allows Marshall to talk. “Tonight, we induct a man into the Hall of Fame who has built a legacy in PCW to match any other individual. A World Champion, a Tag Team Champion, the only four-time North American Champion and a man with a reputation as one of the toughest, craziest competitors ever to step into a PCW ring.”
“Tonight,” Walker moves back in and speaks respectfully into the mic. “We induct into the Hall of Fame, Non Compos Mentis.”
‘Hells Bells’ by AC/DC kicks in and the ‘Born Psycho’ himself walks onto the stage and greets both Marshall and Walker with thanks for their kind words. As his old theme fades out, Non Compos Mentis paces to the podium, not looking as smart as some of the others in attendance but presentable in his own unique way.
“Thanks for the welcome.”
“To be given this honour and put alongside names such as Lantlas, Loki, Pegasus and Ace Anderson is, without a doubt, the greatest moment of my career. I look at those names, men that I had many battles with over the years and consider great rivals, and I see a golden generation of PCW stars that I can now call myself a part of. It is the goal of the current group of competitors making their mark in this company to look at the name Non Compos Mentis and want to be tougher, crazier, more brutal and violent and make themselves the next PCW Hall of Fame inductee.”
Mentis grips the podium and leans forward, clearly intense and passionate about his speech but wanting to say something else. “One question I’ve been asked time after time since I walked away from competing is ‘Will you ever come back to PCW?’ The truth is this: PCW is my home, and should I ever get the opportunity you know I’ll take the chance to be back here in any way. And as for whether the ‘Born Psycho’ will ever get back in the ring… as long as there’s some crazy in PCW, you know NCM will never be far away.”
With that, ‘Hells Bells’ kicks in again and NCM turns from the podium. He rests a hand on Alejandro Walker’s shoulder and starts to talk to him as the trio on the stage walks backstage to applause from the crowd.
Inductee: Non Compos Mentis
Match Three
Non-Title Genesis Rules Match
Nathan Saniti (International ©) vs. "The King Bear" Cory Steel (Underground ©)
Referee: Ed Lane
“Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is scheduled for one fall and is a non-title champion versus champion Genesis Rules Match!”
The crowd cheers.
"Introducing first...."
Psychedelic lights of green and purple brighten the ramp and walkway with no rhyme or reason as "White Rabbit," by Collide plays. He saunters out of the back as casually as an English Gentleman on a Sunday stroll, cane in hand and hat atop his head. He barely notices the audience reaction, whether good or bad most of the time, though he will acknowledge them if they're cheering.
"... he is the PCW International Champion: Nathan Saniti!"
About a third of the way down the ramp, he stops as smoke billows out from underneath him. Just as it envelops him completely, he tosses my hat into the ring, where it hovers and begins to spew smoke of its own. As the smoke on the ramp clears, he has disappeared. As the smoke from his hat clears, he appears right there!
"And his opponent..."
The arena turns red and black with the crowd growing into cheers, the bells of the song ring, and "Heaven Knows" by The Pretty Reckless plays! The Bear in his bear skin emerges from behind the black curtain with his head lowered. The eyes of the dead bear skin shin and glimmer in the dancing lights. Finally Cory lifts his head and with his expressionless face scans the crowd before a smile cracks across his face and he begins his descent towards the ring.
"... from New York, New York, he is the King of the Underground: Cory 'The Bear' Steel!"
At the bottom of the ramp standing beside the ring apron the massive hands of The Bear reaches up grabbing the top rope, he pulls himself onto the ring apron, and removing his beard skin laying it down he ducks into the ring. The hulking monster bounces off the ropes once inside the ring for a few before stopping in his corner to tie his hair back. Watching and wait with his gray eyes.
Ed Lane takes the championship belts from both competitors and sets them aside, as this match is a non-title contest. The bell rings.
The two competitors meet in the center of the ring. Immediately the clash of styles is evident as Cory Steel charges at Saniti with a clothesline that Saniti quickly sidesteps. Saniti then leaps up with a flying leg lariat but Cory Steel catches him in mid-air. He then adjusts him and slams him down to the mat with a powerslam.
Steel then pulls Saniti up, only to drop him once more with a sitout powerbomb. He goes for an early cover, but Saniti kicks out. Knowing he’ll have to do more to end this match, Steel pulls Saniti up once more and he throws him into the corner. Steel charges at him, but Saniti ducks out of the way and Steel hits the turnbuckle. As Cory Steel staggers out of the corner, Nathan Saniti leaps up and hits him with a hurricanrana! Once again, PCW President Frank Foley walks out onto the stage. Immediately he walks over to the podium and begins. “I mentioned earlier all of the great PCW Talent that we have had in our Company's history. One of the five nominees will either further increase their status as legend or will embark on that journey of greatness for the first time.
Here are your nominees:
Murdoc
Stormm
whitey
Eira
Andy D
And the winner is ...
...whitey!
“Bad Man” kicks on and Whitey Ford walks out onto the stage. Ford stares directly in the face of Foley, but Foley does not back down. Whitey puts on a cocky smirk and walks over to the podium.
“How's it make you feel, Foley, to know that I'm STILL the best that you have? You did everything you could to get that World Title off of me, and it finally happened. It took 19 other men to take that belt from me and now you're stuck with Sadistic and The Black Hand as Pure Class Wrestling World Champion.” Staring sternly back at Ford is Frank, who says nothing but listens intently. “But listen here...I don't care. Because I'm evoking my rematch clause...TONIGHT!”
The PCW Faithful in the Peace Center erupts in cheers, surprising everyone, including Foley and Ford.
“You know, I've listened to you mouth off and disrespect this Company and this industry for too long and I'm done,” Foley begins. “You are not representing Pure Class Wrestling and I honestly wouldn't care if some donkey off the street became World Champion instead of you. Now that you're no longer Champion, I don't have to put up with your crap any longer! You've broken so many policies and gotten so many violations that I can, and will, effective immediately, suspend and terminate your rematch clause!”
Ford smirks and takes a step towards Foley, but instantly, there's a line of defense as PCW Security, lead by “Big” Dave Brandt and “Double D” Domino D'Angelo. Whitey Ford shrugs and takes another step forward. He then stops, second-guesses the situation and he backs down off the stage instead.
Winner: Whitey Ford with 57% of the vote (Runners-up: Murdoc & Stormm with 14% each.)

A single spotlight begins to shine on the entrance way illumination none other than “Mr. Showtime” Michael Wryght. He is wearing a long black and silver sleeveless robe. He stands there with his back to the ring and his arms crossed. The back of the robe is exposed with the words in blue and silver “Mr. Showtime” and slightly behind him is the beautiful Perfection. Showtime slowly walks to the beat of the music as the only light in the arena follows him to the ring. He walks up the stairs and whips off his feet on the outside apron. After about thirty-seconds, casually walking out of the smoke is Derek Cosmos accompanied by the lean, mean Stacy Jones.
Derek is wearing his black wrestling trunks, you know the ones with the three pinkish purplish stars on the rear and a giant backwards D and a connected C on the front crotch area. Derek is also wearing a black leather jacket, with jewels encrusted into the sleeves; Pinkish purplish jewels, that light up, but jewels nevertheless. Think Bedazzled.
"And his opponent, from the Outer Reaches of Space: Derek Cosmos!"
The Galactic Bounty Hunter, as he and only he likes to call himself, walks down the entrance ramp bopping along with Galactic. As he makes his enthusiastic descent down the ramp, he tries to slap hands with the fans; some take him up on the offer, but most ignore him. Bummer. When he finally reaches the ring, he slides in through the bottom rope and then climbs the nearest turnbuckle to the second rope. Derek throws his arms back, let's out a “Wooo,” and then jumps back down to the mat. Taking off his light-brite bedazzled jacket, he tosses it in the face of his opponent, and chats idly with the lovely Miss Jones as he waits for the bell to ring.

Cosmos kicks out to the encouraging shouts of Stacy Jones, quick to regain his feet. Sidestepping around Showtime, Cosmos proceeds to dart around the ring - forcing Showtime to chase him! As Showtime’s face darkens towards actual anger, once again the rollicking notes of "Yakety Sax" are heard throughout the arena!
Cosmos bounces from one set of ropes to another like a tanned spider monkey in fancy pants, one overzealous leap bringing him to the middle of the ring and Showtime meets him head on! The two men lock up in the center of the ring, a few stray blows traded while each fights to gain the upper hand. A quick break in the action and then straight back to it, Showtime twisting Cosmos up into a standing hammer lock! A brief struggle and Cosmos reverses, wrenching his opponent’s arm up and back and using the leverage to shove Showtime away, the Middle Finger of The Black Hand stumbling backwards towards the ropes.
Cosmos follows Showtime across to press his advantage, barreling into him to send both men straight into the ropes! Showtime has had fifty shades of enough of Cosmos’ nonsense, using the rebound off the ropes to bullrush Derek to the mat! Cosmos is slammed into the mat with a meteoric crash, genuine concern on Stacy’s face as she slaps the mat nearby and shouts encouragements to Cosmos.
Showtime advances on the stirring Derek Cosmos, hauling the slightly smaller man up by the neck and angling him into a hold, modifying to heft him up on one shoulder! Cosmos wriggles furiously as Stacy has front-row viewing to what is sure to be her love’s downfall! Derek angling to get in a few punches now, Showtime struggles to keep his balance, feet shifting on the mat. As Russo throws a quick glance to the bell table in preparation of the upcoming call, a desperately wicked grin crosses Stacy’s face as she snaps one arm out - and hooks Showtime’s ankle! No one sees it! Showtime goes down like a felled oak, Derek Cosmos landing directly on top of him, one knee striking Showtime hard in the side of the head!
With Showtime senseless on the mat, Cosmos hollers to Russo to come make the count as he wraps The Black Handyman up into a small package for the pin!

The three competitors raise their arms in the air in celebration.
The jubilation doesn't last long, however, as Showtime is back up on his feet and angry. He glares at Cosmos, Jones and Archer, daring them to attack him. The three step forward, but before they can get to Showtime, they're jumped from behind by Sadistic and Grimm!
Despite the brawl that the two brothers had to open the show, they're back on the same page now as they brutalize Jones and Archer. Derek Cosmos pulls himself up from the mat, but he's taken down by a clothesline from Showtime! Showtime now sets Cosmos up and he drops him with a single arm DDT before throwing him out of the ring.
