Morning had come and gone in the house of Willard, as early afternoon took its turn on the clock. The children were all out but accounted for, leaving Jason and Destiny alone for quality time, as was generally the case. Willard was off in the living room, glaring out its biggest window. His gaze was fixated on other houses across the street, and random passerby's who offered a wave. Destiny was laying down on the couch, her nose in the middle of a trashy romance novel (you know the kind) as she was in her own little world.
”I think I’m going to do it.” Willard spoke.
He received nothing but silence in return.
Willard turns his head around to look at Destiny, his eyes burning a hole through the book’s pages. He didn’t like those sorts of reads, but it made her happy, so he never spoke his mind on them.
”I said I think I’m going to do it!”
”Huh? Do what, babe?”
”Well I had planned on having my way with the pale maiden, making her reach levels of ecstasy that far surpassed anything she could have ever imagined, But I believe some long haired slob of overwritten fluff is going to beat me to it.”
Destiny chuckled and closed her book, giving her undivided attention to Jason. “This is a rather poor excuse for literature. And for your information, he happens to be the handsome stranger, riding into town to rescue her from a cheating love interest!”
”Sure he is. And I bet the author wouldn’t know the first thing above love, outside of what he…or she…is paid for late at night! But that’s not important. What IS important is I th---“
Destiny cuts him off.
”You think you’re going to do something. Which would be?”
”I’m going to enter The Deadly Rumble!”
”The Deadly Rumble?” Destiny sat up, looking amused by the name of the match “Enlighten me, dear. Is that PCW’s version of West Side Story??”
”That’s cute, Destiny, real cute. The winner of the match gets an opportunity at the World Champion on the next pay per view.”
”Uh huh.”
”I don’t know if I’ll actually be able to win, but I damn sure can throw others out of my way in trying to find out. Besides, it’ll the first and possibly only time I’m in it.”
Destiny stood up, tossing her book aside.
”Does that hold true for the Underground match as well?”
”Yes, so long as I don’t win the title. But as much as I rather avoid the hardcore weaponry, I’m showing up to the match with the goal of winning it.”
”I see. And was that something Mr. Whiskers talked you into before I came into the room?”
Destiny laughed and approached her husband, gently slapping at his hands as he went poking around at her stomach.
”NO! It’s like I said, I don’t have any desire to be in the match, much less hold the title. But I am going to go through with it and if I should happen to walk out the new Underground champion…great.”
Destiny quickly covered his mouth with her right hand. A deadly serious look in her eyes found their way opposite his. “Perhaps we should talk about that later.”
Destiny pulls her hand away.
”And since I mentioned it, why were you talking to Nancy’s rabbit?”
Willard shrugs.
“She talks to it like it’s a friend and can understand her.”
”Babe, she’s almost six years old. You’re thirty-seven and have me to tell everything to. Although I did find it adorable on your part!”
Destiny pinches Willard’s cheek and laughs to herself.
”Not according to Kristen I’m not. Remember, we’re sixty. To be fair to her though, you definitely could be!”
Destiny lets out an “OH!” with her mouth open and a shocked expression to match. Willard returns the favor of pinching her cheek as he laughs.
“I’ll show you sixty, mister!”
And the chase is on. Destiny nearly had him right from the get go, but Jason managed to squirm by. All throughout the house she chased after him, and he very nearly eluded until he made the mistake of slipping on that piece of shit book, which landed him on the couch. Destiny, never one to pass on the opportunity, quickly jumps on top of him and pins him hands down.
”You’re mine now, lover. We have a solid two hours before the twins have to be picked up, and I intend on using every single second of that to have my way with you.”
Willard smiles at the idea.
”Let’s do it.”
