I could've sworn I brought this up for duscussion, but I guess not. John Cena is being billed as a "free agent" which means he will be able to appear on both shows going forward.
Slow day in the wrasslin world. Lol.

I liked Maria in her first run in WWE. She's easy on the eyes and a pretty decent actor, whether it's her being ditzy or her ROH persona.

See, I'd heard (maybe from wrestleview?) That Mahal is still pencilled for a short run with the title and Orton was likely to get it back at Money in the Bank...which would be fine because I LOATHE the Maharajah. The guy worked his as off, still cuts a middle of the road promo at best and they are hiding his very real wrestling skills behind his two flunkies. Not that I want ORTON to have the belt...but I want it off of Mahal...the guy that SHOULD have carried it for a while was Wyatt...who has been turned into a jobber on RAW. And there my predicting power breaks down...because to me wrestling and promo skills for those three guys ranked in order goes Wyatt, Orton, Mahal. So why are you making one of your best guys into a clueless jobber? I swear, I don't want to kill anybody...but I would love to leave WWE creative on a mountaintop in the Andes and get some fresh blood in there and see what they can do with some of these talents.

God, what a shitshow. Just about everything had the wrong call, with the exception of Corbin winning MITB.
Mahal beating Randy, it's better marginally than Randy winning title # 14, which he doesn't deserve because, well, fuck Randy Orton, but it wouldn't have killed them to have a different ending to the match than a complete retread of Payback. It showed no originality, and Orton fell trap to complete plot induced stupidity to forget that attacking the Bollywood boyz and wasting time beating them around the ring was how he lost last time. Please, let this feud die now and let Orton fade into irrelevance.
Usos losing via countout to New Day. I am of a firm belief that unless it's very warranted, no PPV match should end in a DQ or countout and this didn't have enough heat. The match just ended, when it was getting good, and a countout just took all the air out of the crowd.
Speaking of that, the Women's MITB. Some people have made the comparison, "Well, Lita did the same thing with Edge in 2006 and retrieved the title" but that's false equivalence. This was built up to be a historic match. It would have been important to this women's revolution they still talk so much about. Think how many girls in the audience were watching that, who may have been waiting for a long time to see their favorite women get a chance at a MITB match like their male counterparts and imagine how shitty it must feel that that match, which had potential to mean so much, was flushed away by having a male, goofy, way past his shelf life jobber nothing come in there and win it for Carmella. That goes beyond tainting it. And it goes beyond giving heel heat or creating a storyline... that was an asinine call, and it ruined what was shaping up to be match of the night.
The regular MITB match had a lot to deliver on to make up for that. And it didn't wow like some of the other ladder matches in the past year... For real, WWE does too goddamn many ladder matches... but it was a very solid multi man chaos match and one of the best choices won. So, that happened.
Still, this was a bad Money in the Bank overall.

Baron Corbin winning was the best part of the show. Then he delivered another solid outing on Talking Smack. Love that guy.
Breezango with the ol Paul E. Dangerously phone was hilarious.
But fuck the rest. Idgaf about Orton/Mahal. Could do wo either.
What really insults me as a wrestling fan though, is the bullshit ending to the women's MITB. They hyped it as the ladies making history, because they WERE. I was interested in how they'd do in the environment and who would win.
And then it gets overshadowed by James Ellsworth.
What a joke.

Baron Corbin is great all the time!
But yeah, I didn't get a chance to watch the show but I'm kind of glad I didn't. Sounded like a real shit show, I'm probably going to go back and watch the Main Event though.
As for Jinder, expect him to hold the title till at least October. He's not dropping that until they get back from India at the earliest and they're not scheduled for an India tour until September.

Fandango busted out the old school cellular phone in the latest Fashion Files. Complete with a "Property of Paul E." notice on the side of it. Lol.

Fucking great. I hope nothing serious comes of this, but...
Kevin Owens may have suffered a leg injury last night. Needed help to the back after the show and was apparently hurting (report's word, not mine).
Sigh.

First I've seen of it. None of my dirt sheets having anything about it, hopefully it's an old school work.
